This series is shaped by memories of the physical terrain where I grew up—the Texas Panhandle and South Plains. The layered geographies of Palo Duro Canyon and the wide, open farmland around Lubbock inform the textures, colors, and structures in each piece. Made with acrylic, cardboard, found textiles, and surface manipulation, the works use abstraction to explore the intersection of memory, landscape, and queer embodiment. Fragments of pattern and color echo weathered signage, sedimentary rock, and handmade domestic surfaces—grounding personal history in the language of place.
